An indulgent daal stew. Black whole gram lentils and red kidney beans cooked down in a rich mixture of tomatoes fried in onions, garlic and ginger with shaved nutmeg, fresh cardamom, Kashmiri chillies and fenugreek. Finished with a stir through of butter and double cream for extra richness!
Our Story
In Britain up till now, the marker of a good Indian dish is how spicy it is, the hotter the better- it can and should be so much more than that! Mum’s Rasoi is on a mission to change this perception by offering, with pride, the home meals of Vegetarian Gujarat in all its splendour.
By using the sophisticated palate of flavours, millennia unique techniques and hearty healthy ingredients that I raised my children on and are the hallmark of Gujarati home meals, Mum’s Rasoi will reignite North London’s love of Indian cuisine afresh.
